Action For Recovery is a Christian 12 step program designed after the book, The Mountain Worth Climbing.
In the book I take you on my journey from being a dysfunctional alcoholic to an inspired man of God.
In the book I tell about the different valleys that I had entered, and by trusting in Jesus Christ, got out of those valleys by climbing the mountain worth climbing.
A valley represents the lowest point in a persons life. Everyone who travels the road of life is going to enter into a valley. We all experience troubles and difficulties. There is no way to avoid it Jesus tells us in John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. So it's what you do while you are in the valley that can change your life forever. Psalms 23:4 reads: Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
This is what Action For Recovery is all about, learning how to trust in Jesus Christ to give hope and encouragement, so that you will receive recovery, to give you peace over the thing you are struggling against.
For the last nine years, one night a week, I run Action For Recovery in a homeless shelter; Project Hope For The Homeless in Painesville Ohio. I use the book as a teaching guide, to give hope and encouragement in Jesus Christ.
The Lord has laid something in my heart to share with you. If you buy a copy of the book from www.authorhouse.com I will take half of the proceeds from the book and donate it to Project Hope For The Homeless. You will be feed on the word of God, and in return be helping out the homeless.
I pray that you will find it in your heart to buy a copy of the book and by doing so God will bless you for it. The scripture says in Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
