Welcome to Action For Recovery
Recovery for Mind, Body & Soul
To destroy the yoke of burden from off thy neck because of the anointing
Isaiah 10:27
Where would I be without Jesus? I would be cussing, smoking, drinking, I would be discouraged and depressed, I would be complaining and blaming others for the miserable life that I would be leading. I would have no hope, no encouragement, no incentive to live. Being doomed to spend eternity in the pits of Hell.
Action for Recovery is a Christian 12 step program designed to help those who are struggling with something that is making life unmanageable.
There are some of you that need recovery from: Over working, over eating, alcohol, drugs, over spending, grief, anger, rape, divorce, abuse, sexual addiction, codependency, insecurity, perfectionism, hypochondria, hurtful relationships, gambling, lying, procrastination.
Recovery means to be restored back to its original intention. This is what Jesus wants for anyone who is suffering. The word tells us:
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and affected. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5
In order for recovery to manifest itself there has to be a change. That change comes from with inside of ourselves. A true change comes when we allow Jesus Christ to enter into our hearts. What occurs is explained in 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
What is going to happen in this program, we are going to take the 12 steps that most programs use, we are going to examine each step according to Gods word, by doing so we can accomplish to what is written in 2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
A reminder to anyone who is struggling. You are not in this alone for Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
So if you are ready for recovery, start taking the action of allowing Jesus Christ to enter inside of you and guide you through each of the steps by the Holy Spirit.
